Today, 5 June 2024, the 9th Global Exhibitions Day (GED) is celebrated with the theme “Fairs as catalysts for a sustainable future”.
Established in 2016, the GED is celebrated annually on the first Wednesday of June to promote the visibility of the exhibition sector locally, regionally and globally. In recent years, it has seen the active participation of major industry players in over 100 countries and regions around the world.
Four key messages underpin this year’s GED theme:
Trade shows as a guide for progress: Trade shows are platforms for discussing, creating and showcasing solutions to key challenges across all business sectors;
Trade fairs as an engine of economic growth: Trade fairs are engines of economic growth, providing new work to industries and promoting job creation;
Trade fairs are sustainable: trade fairs are a sustainable way to promote business and development, bringing together entire economic sectors in one place and consciously managing environmental impact;
Fairs as an opportunity for networking between people: fairs are places where new commercial relationships grow and develop, encouraging meetings and collaboration between the main market players;
To celebrate this important event, Italian Fair Service is participating today with its own delegation in the conference on #GED2024 which will take place at the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, organized by AEFI in Rome.
